Smart Alternator Compatible

Vehicle manufacturers are now introducing smart ECU-controlled alternators to increase fuel efficiency and reduce emissions. Smart alternators deliver variable output voltage and shut down when not needed. The Orion-Tr Smart features an engine running detection mechanism, preventing the charger from discharging the starter battery when the alternator is not supplying power.

Bluetooth Smart Built-in

Any Bluetooth-enabled smartphone, tablet, or other device can be used to monitor, change settings, and update the charger when new software features become available via the free VictronConnect app.

Adaptive 3-Stage Charge Algorithm

Features bulk, absorption, and float charging stages. For lead-acid batteries, absorption time is kept short during shallow discharges to prevent overcharging, and automatically increased after deep discharge to ensure full recharge. For lithium batteries, absorption time is fixed at 2 hours by default. Alternatively, a fixed output voltage can be selected.

Remote On-Off

A remote on/off switch or relay contact can be connected to the two-pole connector. Typical use cases include a user-operated hard-wired switch and automatic control by a Battery Management System.

Can Be Paralleled

An unlimited number of units can be connected in parallel to increase charging current. This allows you to scale your charging capacity as your system grows.
