When light intensity is changing continuously, especially on cloudy days, an ultra-fast MPPT controller improves energy harvest by up to 30% compared to PWM charge controllers and up to 10% compared to slower MPPT controllers.

Advanced Maximum Power Point Detection

If partial shading occurs, two or more maximum power points may appear on the power-voltage curve. Conventional MPPTs tend to lock to a local MPP that may not be the optimum. The innovative BlueSolar algorithm always maximises energy harvest by locking to the optimum MPP.

Automatic Battery Voltage Detection

Intelligent Load Output

Prevents battery over-discharge by connecting all loads to the load output. The load output will disconnect when battery reaches a pre-set voltage. Short-circuit proof.

BatteryLife Intelligent Battery Management

When a solar charge controller cannot fully recharge the battery within one day, the battery will continually cycle between partially charged and discharged states — destroying a lead-acid battery within weeks. The BatteryLife algorithm monitors state of charge and, if needed, increases the load disconnect level day by day until harvested solar energy is sufficient to recharge the battery to nearly 100%.

Internal Temperature Sensor

Compensates absorption and float charge voltage for temperature, ensuring optimal battery charging in all conditions.

Multi-Stage Adaptive Charging

Features a multi-stage adaptive charge algorithm (Bulk – Absorption – Float – Storage) that automatically optimises the charging process relative to battery usage. Fully programmable via VE.Direct interface.

VE.Direct Communication Port

For wired data connection to a GX device (such as Cerbo GX), PC, or other devices. Enables full system integration and remote monitoring via the Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal.

Day/Night Timing and Light Dimming Option

Programmable day/night timing and light dimming function available via software configuration.
