Automatic Voltage Compensation

Compensates for voltage drop over DC cabling by slightly increasing output voltage when DC current increases.

Adaptive 6-Stage Charge Algorithm

Bulk – Absorption – Recondition – Float – Storage – Refresh. Microprocessor-controlled "adaptive" battery management automatically optimises charge process relative to battery usage.

Variable Absorption Time

When only shallow discharges occur, absorption time is kept short to prevent overcharging. After deep discharge, absorption time automatically increases to ensure full charge.

Batterysafe Mode

Prevents damage due to excessive gassing by automatically limiting the rate of voltage increase once gassing voltage has been reached.

Storage Mode

Reduces maintenance and aging when battery not in use. Float voltage reduces to 26.4V (for 24V system) to minimise gassing and corrosion. Once weekly, voltage raises to absorption level to equalise battery, preventing stratification and sulfation.

Charger on-off rotation can be implemented by connecting a relay or open collector optocoupler output from a Li-ion BMS to the remote on-off port. Alternatively, full control of voltage and current can be achieved with Bluetooth.

Fully Programmable

Charge algorithm can be programmed via Bluetooth or VE.Direct interface. Three preprogrammed algorithms can be selected with the mode button.

Optional External Sensing via Bluetooth

Smart Battery Sense, SmartShunt, or BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor can communicate battery voltage and temperature to one or more Smart IP43 Chargers via VE.Smart Networking.

Remote On-Off

Remote on/off consists of two terminals (Remote H and Remote L). A remote on/off switch or relay contact can be connected between H and L. Terminal H can be pulled high, or terminal L can be pulled low.

VE.Direct Interface

For wired data connection to a GX device (such as Cerbo GX), PC, or other devices. Also enables Instant Readout functionality via VictronConnect remotely from VRM.

Programmable Relay

Can be programmed using VE.Direct Interface or Bluetooth to trip on an alarm or other events.

Synchronised Charging

Pairing two or more Smart IP43 Chargers in a VE.Smart Network enables synchronised charging, improving charge efficiency and battery life.
